Earlier this month I was dealing with the aftermath of a ransomware attack for a local business. How many employees did they have?
ONE.
I think it’s the most common myth of all. Everyone thinks they are too small. It’s a simple excuse.

Yes. Small businesses often have a single point of failure wearing every hat at once.
Ransomware groups do not target size, they target gaps and a one-person IT function is a gap factory.

Automation in general targets vulnerabilities. It doesn’t care that you don’t have enough employees.
